..your brain, creating music and painting.

Meeting some very inspiring people with mYndstorm!

We had a great time with Wendy Wang from Entertech in Huangzou, who we met presenting  Luuna, an intelligent sleep mask with EEG sensors and AI composed music. Learned a lot - about EEG signal reading as well as how to type in chinese and order on WeChat!

Brain painting at Berlin’s Kleist Haus showed us the possibilities of letting the brain act directly. We met Angela Janson, who has locked-in syndrome as a consequence of ALS and communicates through eye tracking. Brain painting has given her the possibility to create pictures again. She presents herself as a living sculpture at the 'I paint, therefore I am' exhibition.

Brain painting has been developed for individuals are not able to express themselves visually otherwise. By synchronizing and concentrating on a specific symbol that is fed with a person’s picture (yes, Brad Pitt!), you can direct an EEG signal and create imagery - by picking shapes, colors, directions and other information. It worked! Kathrin’s picture turned out kind of blurry and she was pretty slow - she needs to train. Adi Hösler developed Brain painting together with Prof. Dr. Andrea Kübler from University of Würzburg. Many thanks, for the very interesting conversation and training!
